One of the most delicious and simple platters to prepare, is a charcuterie. I threw this one together, with what I had on hand, in my pantry and in the refrigerator. honestly, you can be as creative as you like! I sliced and toasted sour dough bread, with olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. I had a jar of roasted red and yellow peppers, marinated in olive oil. I grilled some fresh asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper, marcone almonds, green olives, prosciutto ham, and chunks of sharp cheddar cheese. I serve this charcuterie with a crisp, fruity sparkling Prosecco, or a non-alcoholic sparkling ginger soda. This is a beautiful way to welcome guests to your home or garden.
