I don’t know why, but I have always loved the color white. At the end of each year, as I put Christmas and Hanukkah to bed until the next year, I love to fill my house and garden with white flowers and greenery. There is something so pure and fresh about the way that this combination appears. It soothes the senses and calms the mind. So, as this year comes to an exquisite close, buy some paper whites at Trader Joe’s or at a local market or florist or garden store. They are inexpensive, and create a blank palate for the approaching year to write upon.
